Winning the Focus Hackathon at TKS
We had another hackathon and managed to win 2 awards again!!! 🤯🤯
Imagine this:
Your coughing, feeling lightheaded, and are anxious about what'll happen.
You assume you have a very troublesome disease.
You don't know how exactly to cure it.
So you go to a nearby doctor.
However...
There's a one-half chance they're unqualified.
How would you feel?
This was the problem we chose to tackle, specifically in India.
It's even worse for those who are in the rural regions of India.
Because they don't have much money and resources to waste.
Our solution?
We built an AI chatbot that can diagnose and guide them to qualified doctors.
10/10 experience, Takeaways:
Learn how to use Loom next time, we almost messed up the recording. Shoutout to my director Skylor for trusting me
Always do a pre-mortem + squad culture + plan of attack + delegation. This is the prerequisites to build a great team
Computer-vision to track score of a badminton game
One Liner: AI to track badminton score using computer vision
I’ve taken on an approach of just following my interests. Paul Graham (the Founder of YC) suggested to do great work: “Do challenging and interesting things.” He said if at minimum it should be interesting, if not you’ll lose motivation and it won’t matter anyway.
Shout out to Ali Eslami and Danny Hui for suggesting this to me! The so called “work” feels a lot more fun like this.
My approach to build is by combining:
Detecting the court boundaries (❌ so far)
Detecting the location of the bird (✅)
Detecting who hit it last (✅)
Detecting when the ball hits the ground (❌)
I’ve never gone so deep into Computer Vision before but it’s really cool. Just look at it:
Will continue this on the side in April because this month will be used towards a consulting challenge alongside Microsoft 🤯.
Practicing Presentations!
Presented about my French project to ~30 kids to try and get users!
Also doing it for my VeloGPT project.
Will release video once I have it ;)
Certifying my AI projects
I got 2 AI experts to certify my AI projects i’ve been doing!
I’ve been building in AI for 1+ years now but had barely been doing outreaches to get feedback on them.
Check out my projects here!
The prize is we get to go boxing together 😂😂.
